Introduction

The display is a corner  of a museum’s exhibit of old furniture where each display tells a story in itself. Theme: The topic Jallianwala Bagh massacre is taken to visualize and remember the story of countless innocent individuals through the furniture that reminds us of that time. Read the latest news, survivors, articles and many other dimensions of the story decided what I wanted to depict. Chose the appropriate furniture and arranged it according to my idealization. Light is an enormous factor in any display that is tend to be overlooked by most people, and as I read how I wanted to experiment, so, here I have used light to depict many of my ideas.
Ideation and Concept

This display represents the famous and heart- bleeding but true story of Jallianwala Bagh Massacre that happened on April 13, 1919. It shows two eras of reality using furniture from that time period as an indicator of the idea those who left home that day never came back. Even after 40 years since that day, everything has changed(the different chairs) except for the fact that, the blood bath will always be imprinted in the heart of every Indian. On the walls is a shadow displayed from a page of calendar kept on the table that shows the date of the un-fateful event as well as 41 years after that i.e. 1960. I have depicted that story by taking a different dimension of the same i.e. from the point of view of the people who were massacred. Loved ones were lost and scars were formed that will never disappear.
